Apple unveiled its brand new phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's updates to three known models and also the new iPhone 17 Air, that replaces the iPhone Plus. If waiting in line on release day isn’t really your style, but you still need to get your hands on one as soon as possible, you will be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12th, ahead of the September 19th release date.Aplpe’s iPhone 17 gets a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and slimmer bezels. And after years of waiting (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.
Internally, the new A19 chip is faster as well as more efficient, particularly when teamed up with Apple Intelligence. If you're upgrading from an older iPhone, you will notice a massive bump in speed and better gaming performance thanks to ProMotion.
About the camera, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and also a 2x telephoto lens. The ultra-wide camera also gets an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography crisper and more impressive.
